Sesame Seed
Here is sesame seed (Sesamum indicum). It is considered the oldest oilseed crop known to humanity. The plant is drought tolerant and native to India. The seed grows in pods which contain large numbers of them, and each seed has an outer shell which is removed. The seeds pictured measure about 2 by 3 mm.
