Celery Stalk

Macro and Micro Picture of the Day 2020-03-11

Here is a cross section of a celery (Apium graveolens) stalk. Celery is a marshland plant that can grow up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) tall. It is found around the world but is thought to have first been cultivated in the Mediterranean area.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm) on a 49 mm long extension tube.
Software used: GIMP.
