Beard Lichen
Here is beard lichen (Usnea) at 40x magnification. This particular variety is Usnea lapponica, found growing on the bark of trees in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. Usnea is sensitive to air pollution, and grows long in very clean air.
Equipment used: AmScope M150C microscope with Raspberry Pi camera module V2 (8MP).
