Russian Sage Leaf
Here is the leaf of Russian sage (Salvia yangii). Known for its tolerance of harsh conditions, it's native to the plains and foothills of central and southwest Asia. It has found use in traditional medicine, as a flavoring in vodka cocktails, and the flowers are used in salads.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm) on a 49 mm long extension tube.
