Catnip Stem Cross Section
Here is a cross section of a catnip (Nepeta cataria) stem at 100x magnification. Near the center of the stem, vascular tissue is visible. Note the square shape of the stem, a common characteristic of the mint family.
Equipment used: AmScope M150C microscope with Raspberry Pi camera module V2 (8MP).
