Purple Coneflower
Here is a purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea). Right click for full resolution. Native to eastern North America, Native Americans have used the plant to treat coughs and dyspepsia, among other ailments.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
