Sand Lily
Here is a sand lily (Leucocrinum montanum) which grows in the foothills of the Colorado Front Range and flowers early in the spring. This picture was taken on May 18. It is the only species in its genus, so the first part of its latin name uniquely identifies it. Right click for full resolution.
