Feather
Here is an orange and black feather from an unknown bird. The pigments of orange, red and yellow feathers is often due to carotenoids. This feather was found beneath a spruce tree in Longmont, Colorado.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm) on a 7 mm long extension tube.
