Here is Rocky Mountain goldenrod (Solidago multiradiata) flower in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. A native to North America, it grows in the western United States from New Mexico north to Alaska, and throughout Canada. It's used for revegetation after oil spills because it starts growing in such polluted soils before other plants.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
