Here is a black-eyed susan (Rudbeckia hirta) flower in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. The plant is native to central and eastern North America, but now grows in all of the lower 48 United States as well as all 10 provinces of Canada. The Potawatomi used it to treat colds.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
