Acorn
Here is the bottom of an overcup oak (Quercus lyrata) acorn. This acorn is about 8 mm in diameter, with the cup covering the entire nut.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
