Here is the tip of a Rocky Mountain Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca) needle at 40x magnification. At this scale, it seems to resemble an English cucumber. Rocky Mountain Douglas fir is a large tree that can grow up to 220 ft (67 m) tall and get over 1,200 years old.
Equipment used: AmScope M150C microscope with Raspberry Pi camera module V2 (8MP).
