Escaping The Nutshell

2019-06-28 Bridge over Boulder Brook

On June 28, 2019, we hiked from Sprague Lake up the Boulder Brook Trail, then northwest on the North Longs Peak Trail to the Glacier Gorge Trail, then west on the Glacier Gorge Trail to the unofficial Fire Trail, then down the Fire Trail to the old Glacier Gorge Trailhead, then east to Sprague Lake along the trail that parallels Bear Lake Road.

Total distance was about 9 miles. We forgot to take the GPS so the distance is approximate. Elevation change from low to high was about 1,800 feet.
