Escaping The Nutshell

On a windy December 22, 2021 we hiked from the Button Rock Preserve parking area to the Sleepy Lion Trail, then the Professors' Ranch Trail to its end on the shoreline trail, and finally up an old path starting after the first cove following the dam. We returned by crossing over the dam, then to the spillway and down the road alongside the spillway.

Here are the GPS tracks. and a USGS topomap of the area at Hillmap. The GPS didn't start tracking until we were on the Sleepy Lion Trail.
