Old Fall River Road

Old Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park is a nice road to ski up in the winter, since there is no vehicle traffic. Further up, there is some avalanche danger though.
We started in Horseshoe Park, at the last parking area before the closed gate, with an elevation of about 8500 feet. Eventually, we turned around at about 9800 feet, when both lateness and avalanche danger compelled us to begin our return. In the last mile or so, there were no human tracks, only snowshoe rabbit and other small animal tracks.
On returning to the car, a magpie stopped to ask for food, and a large bull elk was munching grass nearby, which you can see in the video.
