Note that this bike loop is only appropriate for mountain bikes because part of it is on dirt trails.
On Apr 8, 2018, from Nelson Park Drive in Longmont, headed west on Clover Basin Drive to its end on 75th Street. Continued west on the other side of 75th St, which is Pike Road going past Lagerman Reservoir. Continued as Pike Road takes a sharp left where it becomes 67th Street. The road soon takes a sharp right, becoming Prospect Road. We continued west on Prospect Road to its end on 55th Street. Turning left on 55th Street, we headed south as 55th becomes Ouray Drive. We followed Ouray Drive as it turns west, then south again and finally ends on Oxford Road. Turning right onto Oxford Rd, we headed west to its end on 41st Street. Turning left (south) onto 41st Street, the road soon took a sharp right turn where it becomes Nimbus Road. Heading west on Nimbus Road, we took the first left onto 39th Street. Heading south on 39th Street, we continued to its intersection with Neva Road. On the southwest side of the 39 St - Neva Road intersection, there is a narrow single track dirt path which we took to the Left Hand Trailhead, a short distance away. There, we followed the Left Hand Trail. We took the Left Hand Trail to its end at the Boulder Valley Ranch Trailhead where we took the Sage Trail to its intersection with the Eagle Trail. Heading east on the Eagle Trail, we continued to the Eagle Trailhead, then turned left onto 55th Street. We took 55th Street to the Boulder Reservoir West Trailhead, where we took the Boulder Reservoir Trail east. We took the Boulder Reservoir Trail past Coot Lake to the Diagonal Hwy where an underpass connects to the LoBo Trail. Turning left onto the LoBo Trail, we headed toward Niwot, then Longmont. We left the LoBo Trail at Airport Road where there is an underpass on the east bound side and a crosswalk on the west bound side. We completed the loop by heading north on Airport Road.
