Yellow Jacket Head
Yesterday we looked at the abdomen of a western yellowjacket (Vespula pensylvanica), today we look at his head. Right click for full resolution. The yellowjacket will sometimes bite in order to get a good grip for stinging at its other end.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm) on a 49 mm long extension tube.
