Mugo Pine Needle

Here is a mugo pine (Pinus mugo) needle at 40x magnification. The periodic white dots are presumably stomata (breathing pores). The mugo pine is native to southern Europe from Switzerland to the Balkans, and is used in landscapes worldwide.

Equipment used: AmScope M150C microscope with Raspberry Pi camera module V2 (8MP).
