Here is the seed of Fendler's buckbrush (Ceanothus fendleri) at 40x magnification. Its dimensions are about 1.95 by 2.30 mm. There are 3 such seeds in each buckbrush fruit as shown in our picture of July 30, 2020. Each of the seeds is encased in a capsule, and when dry the capsules explode, scattering the seeds. When we freed this seed from its capsule, it hit us in the forehead.
Equipment used: AmScope M150C microscope with Raspberry Pi camera module V2 (8MP).
