Here is a southwestern dwarf mistletoe (Arceuthobium vaginatum subsp. cryptopodum) on a ponderosa pine branch, photographed on October 9, 2020 in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. Mistletoe is a parasitic plant, and this particular type infects only ponderosa pine.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
