Autumnal Cottonwood Leaf

Here is the leaf of an eastern cottonwood (Populus deltoides) in fall color, from Longmont, Colorado. One of the largest hardwood trees of North America, the eastern cottonwood can grow to about 200 ft (60 m) tall. It's the state tree of Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
