Closely Packed Soap Bubbles

Here are closely packed soap bubbles in our kitchen sink. Technically, this is a foam. Soap foams are also called suds. Note the near hexagonal packing. In 1773, Joseph Louis Lagrange proved that the highest density arrangement of constant radius circles is hexagonal.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
