Here is pipsissewa (Chimaphila umbellata), growing off the Black Canyon Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. Pipsissewa is a small evergreen flowering plant native to most of North America. It has been used as a flavoring in root beer and candy. This picture was taken on Oct 18, 2017.
