Here is sand bluestem (Andropogon hallii) grass in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. It's a perennial grass that forms sod, and grows from the Rocky Mountains east to the Mississippi River, and from Mexico north to Canada. This picture was taken on November 28, 2018.
