Here is a common juniper (Juniperus communis) branch with berries, found in the Lumpy Ridge area of Rocky Mountain National Park. This tree has the largest geographical range of any woody plant. In Colorado, the tree is usually not taller than 3 feet (1 m), but can be as tall as 33 feet (10 m) in other parts of the world. The berries take 2 years to mature, the first year being green, and the second blue. This picture was taken on November 6, 2020.
