Here is an ancient Oreo cookie fossil rock found off Larimer County Rd 47. It is much bigger than the modern Oreo cookie, so we suppose it came from the time of the dinosaurs - when all things were huge - sometime before they all died off about 65 million years ago. The creamy filling has been mineralized into quartz, and the wafers have become some kind of black rock.
