Here is a snail shell found in an arid part of the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. We have hiked regularly in this area of Colorado for the last 24 years and have never seen a live snail, only a few shells like this, so they are quite rare here. We think this may be a Cooper's Rocky Mountain snail. This picture was taken on January 13, 2021.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
