Ponderosa Pine Growing Out of Rock

Here is a ponderosa pine growing out of a rock along the Sleepy Lion Trail at Button Rock Preserve in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado. The tree is only a few inches tall. This picture was taken on February 2, 2021.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
