Here's a quartz vein about an inch (2.5 cm) thick. Because of its thinness, we suspect it was probably precipitated out from hydrothermal fluids into a crack of the rock. This picture was taken on Point 7201 in the foothills of Boulder County, Colorado on March 20, 2021.
Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
