Here is a boxelder bug on an alfalfa plant in the Lefthand OHV area of Boulder County, Colorado. While this bug's favorite food is boxelder seed pods, they will eat parts of other plants too. This photo was taken on June 13, 2021.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
