Here are puffballs in the Lefthand OHV area of Boulder County, Colorado. Native Americans burned puffballs to anesthetize bees with the resulting smoke in order to gain access to their honey. This photo was taken on August 6, 2021.

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a standard zoom lens (EF-S 18-55 mm).
